Patrick
has some 28 years experience at sea, on ocean-going tankers and bulk carriers.
He has served as Chief Officer and Master on Chemical, Vegetable Oil, Liquefied
Gas, Product and Crude Oil tankers up to 356,000 tons deadweight capacity.
In 1984 Patrick was employed, by Alleghony Marine Services, as a Surveyor
on the US East Coast (Boston to New York range), specializing in the handling
of Chemical Products.
He is the author of CAPIS 2.7, a CD-Database relating to the preparation
for, and carriage of, Chemicals on board tankers.
Patrick is an accredited CDI Inspector (Liquefied Gas) and lectures at the
invitation of the International Maritime Academy (IMA), on the Carriage
and Handling of Hazardous Liquid Substances in Port.
From 1999 to the present date he has been operating as an Independent Marine
Consultant and Surveyor for APC Ltd.
He specialises in the carriage and handling of Liquid
Chemical and Vegetable Oil cargoes.
