Douglas E. Sutherland B.Sc., M.R.I.N.
Douglas spent 13 years at sea with Texaco Overseas Tankships Ltd, up to the rank of junior CHIEF OFFICER. During the latter part of service with Texaco he was involved with the re-writing of Texaco in-house Operations, Product tank cleaning and Crude Oil Washing manuals.
He came ashore in 1980 and served as a LEGAL EXECUTIVE, with a leading firm of London solicitors, until 1982.
He then joined the firm of T.J. Gunner and Sons Ltd and was employed as a MARINE SURVEYOR and CONSULTANT. He became a DIRECTOR of that company in 1983 and remained in that capacity until 1988, before being retained as an INDEPENDENT CONSULTANT by the same company.
He became a Director, and founder member, of APC Ltd in 1992 and is employed as a Marine Consultant.
He specialises in Crude Oil and Petroleum Product quantity and quality disputes.
