APC are an association of consultants to the oil shipping industry, with over 30 years of experience in the investigation of disputes and claims arising from the various technical aspects in the quantity and quality control of bulk liquid oil transport.
Our primary aim is to offer impartial advice to clients as to the most suitable means of resolving such disputes as timeously as possible, on the understanding that many of these disputes result in expensive litigation.
Our personnel come from different technical and scientific backgrounds, including time-served deck officers of tankers, petrochemical carriers and LPG/LNG vessels, as well as laboratory chemists. Together we have expertise in all aspects of the quantity and quality control of bulk-shipped liquid cargoes. Many shipping disputes involve multi-disciplinary considerations, and our blend of experience and expertise can focus on both the operational aspects of liquid cargo handling on board vessels, as well as the forensic laboratory examination of quality issues.
While we are used to providing on-site expertise in various parts of the world by our own attendance, we are also experienced at running remote management of local correspondents / inspectors.
If you would like further information about the services we offer please contact us at our e-mail address or phone number, or through any member of the team. Further details of our services are also provided on the site.
All enquiries are treated with discretion, on the presumption of potential litigation being involved. APC also welcomes all enquiries, whether for pro bono advice on technical issues or for consultancy. APC will always give impartial advice and, if we feel that the matter is outside our field of expertise, we will endeavour to advise on a more suitable expert from our contacts in other fields.
